This 29yr Multifaceted Bass Producer is Just about to enter his dirty 30’s with over 6 years of experience in production, songwriting and working with Vocalists, We got in touch with Brett Webster(Hypesetterz) to talk about his exciting growth
“ The looks on people’s faces when they hear a song that blows their minds.. or the looks of bliss when you peak up beyond the decks and see people loving life on the dance floor.. those are my main inspirations to keep creating.. love being able to share those feelings as much as possible. For the past couple of years I’ve been working behind two projects; “Hypesetterz” and “Prayer Handz”. I launched Prayer Handz recently to showcase my love for underground house music, and to ensure I can always playsets of that style.. with Hypesetterz I hope to branch out much more diversity wise.. work with artists across all genres and produce albums etc. Almost like a “DJ Snake” or “Skrillex-ish” approach with that alias.”
Brett has worked very hard building a name that is well known in the Canadian scene, some career highlights include; A Beatport #1 single in the Electro/House charts with the song “Gameboy” which was a collab with my friends Diemetic. Also, he has done official remixes for the likes of Merkules, Kytami, and Titus 1 which have reached well over a million streams across platforms.. and my single “Bring The House Down” was released by EDM.com.
“As a live performer I’ve been blessed to play such festivals as; Center Of Gravity, Astral Harvest, Soundwave, Bamboo Bass (Costa Rica), and more. I’ve also had the honour of sharing stages with some industry greats like; Dr. Fresch, Ill Phil, RL Grime, Ghastly, What So Not, Stylust Beats, Skiitour, and many more! The biggest message I can think of that I’d like to share with other artists is honestly to stop comparing yourselves to others. There are no time limits or finish lines in this game. take your time, believe in your path, and keep moving forward. my career truly has been a marathon and the best thing I ever did was learn to enjoy the journey!”
What a true Novelty to have! Brett shows real compassion to others and supports many artists big or small. He works hard with people of many talents as well as spurring his own creativity it really takes an individual like this to make a difference in the scene to shape their own way
